Spiral Wound Gaskets
CVS® Spiral Wound Gasket Carbon Steel Outer Ring (‘OR’ Type)
CVS® ‘OR’ Type Spiral Wound Gasket is made up of a V-shaped strip of Stainless Steel 316L metallic strip and graphite filler, with an outer ring made up of Carbon Steel.
Solid outer ring accurately locates the gasket on the flange face which provides additional radial strength to prevent gasket blowout and acts as a compression limiter. Suitable for use with flat face and raised face flanges.
Applications:
Used for pipelines and pressure vessels on steam, petrochemical, nuclear, and hydraulic plants.
Product Features:
• Gasket are made in a wide variety of sizes and shapes
• Quick to install and remove
• Operating temperatures from cryogenic up to 1000°C
• System pressures from high vacuum to over 35MPa/350Bar
• Suitable for high pipeline pressure on flat or raised flange faces
• Metallic outer centering ring controls the compression and holds the gasket centrally within the bolt circle
Technical Specifications:
